Welcome from our family to yours, the generations before us and the generations of Maple Producers to come

Dear Maple Syrup Eating Friends,

We have something in common and that is we both love Pure Vermont Maple Syrup!

If you and your family are regular consumers or are first time buyers, I can assure you that my goal is to supply you with the very best maple syrup that I can produce.

I learned at a very young age from my father and passed down to him by his father the art of sugar making. Three generations of maple products have been produced at our location. I am so grateful to be a descendant of talented woodsmen, sugar makers and good stewards of the land. We keep a diversified forest that is the home to a variety of birds and mammals throughout the seasons.

Our sugarhouse is not a modern facility by appearance, but inside it has the latest generation of food quality producing equipment available. Food grade plastics and stainless steel give assurance of pure products. Food safety is a top priority at our sugar house along with proper filtering, grading, bottling and labeling. We are always open for your questions or comments .

We hope that you and your family will enjoy this very special gift that nature has given us as there is nothing else like it!

Your Friend In Maple,
Ed

>1966

At the young age of seven, Ed started to have thoughts of sugaring. He then recalls his first experience of collecting sap and boiling it to make maple syrup with his Dad, Roger.

1971>

Ed ran his very own sugarhouse at the age of twelve.

>1981

When Ed was 22 years old, he expanded his opertions with a new sugarhouse. This included new sap gathering methods known today as pipeline systems. Sap collection continued with buckets as well.

1982>

Ed received the prestigious Ray Foulds Outstanding Young Sugarmaker Award from the University of Vermont. Ray was a Professor of Agrigulture for many years at UVM.

>1989

Even with modern sap collection methods, Ed and his friend Mike collected sap with their team of Belgian horses, Rock and Sam.

2017>

The Cote Family Sugarhouse was inspected and certified by the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets. This same year, Ed installed a Reverse Osmosis system which concentrates the sap to reduce boiling time.

Ed continues to develop and maintain his maple grove and sugarhouse operations while enhancing the market. Ed has profound love for producing Pure Vermont Maple Products.
